Gene's Music
Gene Crain
Gene Crain was born and raised in Skiatook, Ok. After being influenced by the great Leon McAuliffe, Gene started playing the steel guitar at the ripe old age of 9 years old. He was mentored by his good friend Mr. Kenneth Schell who gave him lessons and much encouragement through the years.
Gene & Gayla Earlene produced and recorded his first instrumental album entitled, "Steel Pickin For Jesus" and has had overwhelming response from both fans and radio people. Two releases from that album have found a spot on the Christian Country Charts in the USA and in Europe.
His version of Blood Bought Church went to #4 on the European Country Gospel Chart. It was also the theme song for the
Nationally broadcasted CCMA Award Show, live from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN for three consecutive years. Gene’s latest instrumental album, “Steel One Way” is taking off and also becoming very popular in the industry.
